Celebrating Ramadhan

Yesterday was a busy busy day... High 5 Bread launch and thankfully everything went on smoothly. The Kaiiten Girls are a really nice fun bunch! Anyway, Mark came by as well and said he needed to arrange Nelson's wedding party. All of them are coming from CHIJMES where they are having their Chinese dinner. Thankfully there are still space in the VIP area. So all the Jewish clan will be here then.

I dugged out some old photos of me, with the family, Cik Midah, my engagement photo (there was no digital camera then!) hmmmm.. i just realized time flew by and people from my past are sprouting up again like mushrooms.

Today is also the first day of Ramadhan.. we woke up at 5am and had meatball curry, omelette & sambal belachan! ahhahahaha.. i wonder how my stomach and injest all of that. Met Mel up during lunch to Geylang.. and I was wearing boots!!! Melawa betul pergi Geylang! ehehhe... so we bought cooked lauk for buka & sahur tomorrow.. cant find much so i bought Ayam Masak Merah, Sambal Goreng Pengantin, Pais Sotong, Pais Ikan, Cheng Teng & Air Longan! Betul punya nafsu!!

Then we popped by JCC and went to RH Fashion. The sales person looked so familiar then I realized its Kak Gayah the one who did my wedding dais/pelamin!! See what i said abt meeting people from my past all of a sudden! Me & Mel ended up buying a baju kurung each.. similar patterns some more!! organza top with lining & beads with songket-like kain. Ok la... nothing too glamourous since we are both moms and have to be practical! Too mush beads will scratch our sons face, if we wear kebaya, all the buttons will pop!

Fai went off to the Polo event which i was supposed to go but knowing that I dun have a nice outfit just kinda adds up to my reluctance of going. I am required to wear a hat somehow & i dun have any apart from my Adidas & Rip Curl.. when I asked Fai he told me to wear a French Cap!! Bloody asss.....

Anyway, all the other women there are gonna be dressed top to toe in high end couture.. forget it... the only couture i have is stuff i cant even put a feet in! lol

End of the weekend..the kids are asleep and i am clueless on what to do. To take a quick snooze would be ridiculous.. by the time Faiz wakes up I'll be groggy.. Hopefully next week will past by quickly too with the Hi-5 Bread launch on Tuesday & La Promenade party on Thursday. Hai.. puasa also must go back late!
Now that I am driving the car, looks like I gotta pay for the wear & tear too... sigh.. so I bumped the rear end last week at Sheng Siong but that wasnt my fault.. mama can vouch for me! So I should wait until i bumped the back real bad before sending it for repair la.

fabelhafter Sonntag

Its Sunday and the Bali blast had taken 30 lives and injured 100 others... dugong left for Meulaboh last night as well.. he told me his fiancee has been crying since morning and the worse part... not even telling his mom as her mobile was off! gut vom Glück my friend! Then this morning he told he he'll be back tomorrow! Just bringing some sick kids to SGH... tu takpe.. dia sempat melantak nasi padang & juice alpokat pulak!!! Then watch Kadir & Doyok!!! Obitttttt!!!!
I was online with 'Ein as well last night and she told me she's just hoping no SCC players are injured. Just the other day her ex flame Iszal was online with me at the same time! He just had a baby boy and the weirdest part, when i knew both of them in school (he was from GES) I thought they'll last forever! They had this wonderful connection everyone could see and then, I had hoped I would find someone with the same electricity.
I havent had lunch with Mel in awhile now since this 2 months she'll be running around places to places. Her job at GE sounds very easy, simple and she gets to meet men! ehhehehehe

Anyway, Fai left for Jakarta on Wednesday and there was a demonstration.... he'll be back today though. Fetching him @ the aiport at 3pm. Faris denied missing his abah refusing to talk when Fai calls saying Abah boring and all that but in his own little way he shows it... like blowing a kiss on the phone after talking to Fai this morning.... Faris went for his dental check up yesterday and they did the upper molar filling for him. The doctor handling him sooooo gooodd.. she entertained him, made him felt at ease... calling him 'taik gigi' wriggly worms so that he'll brush his teeth often!

Entlastung

Anyway, here's a pic of the 3 girls.. Ismail's cousins.. Anol the eldest, Elin & Naz.. Anol just told me that Is was ok... huh?? Ok why?? I was online with her since midnight and I havent watched TV the entire day after fetching Fai from the airport. I didn't know there was a bombing in Bali @ Jimbaran & Kuta. Just a few days ago i was joking telling him to be careful takut BOMB!! My exact words! Smsed him and he replied saying he's alright.

Anol or rather Lyana goes online periodically and she's just finish her Refregiration & Air Cond exam yesterday.. what a boring topic!!! She said she mssed all my cookies & cakes..after 11 years...how time flew..

Mein Alter Gefundener Freund

I know this is really backlogged.... but i was so silly!!! I forgot my user name and thought that I lost my blog for good!!! Anyway.. a few updates .. i started work and its been really productive. Fun colleagues, great companion.. the sort of feel that makes me look forward to work instead of dreadding it. I joined the School Friends @ Yahoo and searched Pei Tong, Crescent & SHATEC friends that I've lost touch with...and I was elated when Sulaiman's name came to light! He was this vivacious, untra funny, laid back character who did his Diploma in Pastry & Baking on the April intake. The last time i met him was for a picnic 5 years ago when I told him my news of getting engaged and possibly tying the knot! I've got 2 princes now so time has definately flew by!!

So I send him an email, resigned to fate not knowing if he'll reply... when he did it was hillarious!! He didn't change a bit!! He was still bubbly with that booming laugh...we agreed to catch up with lunch. So after exchanges of sad, funny and surreal stories.. he mentioned that he will be tying the knot on January 1st 2006. It would be unlikely that i can attend as it is also Honey Nanny's wedding day but i'll be contented for now having a listeninng ear and sharing many booming laughters.

Today is real dread.. i've diverted my phone so that KN won't be able to reach me... just needed to know what the offer is from Thumper... sigh.... then the phone rang... they called home and I had to pretend I was someone else... heheheheh

Please..please.. please... let me know soon! I'm nervous, I'm agitated, I'm frustrated.... aaaaaaaaaarrrggggghhhhhhh.. and the worse bit.. tomorrow will be another waiting day..

At least listening to other people problems help lighten my burden...Mel is still waiting for the CB offer which will by 27th! I know she's as agitated as I am.. I cooked Ayam Panggang today to eat with rice, ulam, keropok, ikan kering & sambal belachan...

Ein Glücklicher Tag

I did my 2 teeth yday... and the fillings were so cool!! They were PINK! Of course it looks like I've got strawberries perpetually stuck to my mouth but hey.. no ones playing tonsil hockey with me apart from Fai...heheeheh .. They waive off the consultation fee and charged me $40 per filling.. of course la.. after the $7000 Mama spent on doing her crowns there!

The monkey is still etched in my mind... I wonder what happened.. do the other monkey carry him to be buried or do they leave him on the road to rot..

Mela went for another interview yday and I sincerely hope she gets the one at CB. It'll be good for her and I'm sure the money's good too. Our flea market is next week! Its so fast! I dunno how i'll sell my stuff.. there's just too many! What with mama & mak donated... its amazing! I have to get that rack at Ikea to hang the clothes!

I'm worried about the job offers too.. KN have not called abt the contract and CHIJMES said yes but its only the salary thats turning me off!! Lets hope I have a better offer today.

Ein Trauriger Tag

It started off as a great day with me going for another interview at CHIJMES, having a nice lunch break then heading home to pick the kids up for an outing. Thought of heading off to Ikea as Mama wanted new curtains then she decided on the ones at Metro so in the end we ended up at Gelenggang (which was closed on Monday we realized) as she was craving for their Mee Soto.

So we had prata & mee hoon goreng at Casuarina before feeding the monkey.. we brought peanuts and bread and after all that something tragic happened... it all seemed to go in slow-mo... monkey scattred all over the place, car coming, monkey trapped under the wheel, monkey lay motionless, monkey started heaving, blood trickled down the nose, then mouth then suddenly there was a pool of blood around the monkey.. it just didn't register in my head what was happening until Mama shouted.. "Is DRIVE!!! i cannot see this!"

Somehow time just pass by in a blur.. before I knew it, time for dinner and I have no appetite. I cooked Salmon Masak Merah with Bening Sayur and Mama said it looked like the monkey's blood!~!! Gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a dream last night and it was the 4 of us still.... Mel, Amrin, Faisal & Me... at Sentosa.....having fun, paying in the pool, having dinner at Beaufort by the cliff... ya its definately a DREAM! I'm missing the good old days....

Ein nagelneuer Tag

Its a brand new day... after being jobless for 3 weeks.. K+N finally made their offer.. and at the same time, April just called saying I've got an interview lined up on Monday!! Che just emailed asking if I am keen in a Marketing job at Thumper at Goodwood Park!!! I also applied at Legends at Fort Canning........ sigh.... now I've got too much choices!! Wait til' fai hears about it!

Last night we celebrated our 4th Anniversary & his 34th birthday...it was funny.. after indulging in a very expensive meal at Senso.. it ended up to be complimentary!!! The restaurant manager used to work with me at CHIJMES and fai knows him from Mambo Kings.... lucky huh!!!

Fai gave me a shopping voucher .. i know its definately gonna be spent on faris & faiz!!!!

Unser Jahrestag

Its our Anniversary!! Dunno where we're going to tonight but Fai has already opened his gift last night!! Managed to get 50% off the Ferragamo wallet he wanted.... guess it pays to have connection!! lol
Trying not to be disappointed if he doesn't get wat I want but I guess I am used to it.. then again, men are usually clueless on what their woman wants!

Not a very good day.. Fai almost left the house cuz he misunderstood about what I said to Mummy!! sigh.... every single year in between her birthday & our anniversary is always tough... tension!!! I guess he's not happy that I didn't bring the kids to her place for cake cutting!! I honestly didn't have the time!! By the time I got back from my interview, it was almost 3pm and we still had to go to Ikea, fetch papa, send him home....

Mama-Geburtstag

Its Mummy's birthday today and after coming back from JB, we met everyone at Centrepoint. Dinner was booked at the Rice Table and its nice to have a family dinner once in awhile.. too often will result in disagreement & insults... heheheheheh.. After dinner we went to The Railway for Teh Tarik.. Faiz slept all the way!!!
