Meatballs with Tomato Concasse


I blame Cloudy with a chance of Meatball for this! The kids suddenly craved for meatballs after watching a rerun of the movie last night!

1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons milk
1 clove garlic grated 
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper 
About 500g minced beef

Mix all the ingredients well and roll into balls . Fry them until golden brown on both sides. Set aside on a platter

Tomato Concasse Sauce

4 tomatoes chopped finely
2 garlic chopped 
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
2 tablespoon tomato sauce (not ketchup!)
A bit of water
Salt  / pepper 
Olive oil 

Sauté the garlic in olive oil, once fragrant, add in the chopped tomatoes and continue sautéing. Add the tomato sauce , water, herbs and season accordingly. Let simmer until sauce thicken and pour over the tomatoes... Sprinkle some mozarella cheese and gratinate for 2 minutes to melt the cheese... Bon Appetito!
