About Me

My photo
I´m a foodie who lives to eat. A Singaporean living in the heart of Jakarta. My food blog started because I could never remember my recipes back when we travelled back and forth from here and Singapore...and I´m terrible at keeping folders! So this was my savior. I still rely on this blog to cook so just know that the recipes here are all tried and tested!

Soya Bean Masalodeh

Made some Soya bean milk and I didn't want to throw away the fibres.. Or what we call hampas... Decided to try making Masalodeh sans the dhal.

I had about 2 cups of fibres and added in the following:-

Half an egg
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 onion (chopped)
1 tiny cube of chicken powder stock (the ones here are really tiny not like the Maggi or Knorr back home. I think it's like 1/4 the size)
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon of cumin & coriander that i pounded roughly or you can use the ground ones
1 tablespoon all purpose flour (just to bind)
5 curry leaves (sliced thinly)
2 stalks coriander leaves (sliced thinly)

Mix well and form into balls and pressed down. Deep fry in hot oil and serve with green chillis.
